BefeQadu is a blogger, democracy activist and Ethiopian Dreamer – a MIS expert by profession and a writer by inclination. His first novel Children of Their Parents won the Burt Award for African Literature (Ethiopia) in 2012. He is also a Zone 9 Blogger and a volunteering editor of Global Voices in Amharic.

Untold Stories tells human rights stories with a focus on press freedom, freedom of expression and life in exile. Countries in focus are Ethiopia, Eritrea and Egypt, the countries with the highest number of jailed journalists in Africa.
